We are asking for submissions
from artists of different mediums to enter artwork of their personal
vision of what angels and dragons look like. Every artist has a
personal unique perception on how they interpret visually the world around
them. Beliefs and dreams are no different in this respect. We are simply
asking you to share with us a glimpse of that vision. Whether you are submitting
the divine or the grotesque, originality in you submission is highly prized.
You can submit as many entries as you wish, as shown in the guidelines,
and no purchase of any sort is necessary to win.
Submission Guidelines:
1. This fundraising release project is opened to high school students,
college students, and independent artists to submit entries of singular
2. There is a per-submission entry fee of $3.00. High school students are
excluded from this entry fee cost per requirements of Federal and
State law. However, they are limited to up to 3 images per artist.
3. The bulk of this printed release will be in artwork of b/w and
greytone natures. A limited count of color pieces will be accepted
for the interior center art section, this includes the photography
medium as well.
4. Entries may be submitted with copies of original artwork or
digitally. Do not send originals or e-mail entries. All digital
entries need to be in .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or .psd formats. All entries
need to be mailed to GIRAFNetwork- NIS, PO BOX 2684, Loganville, GA 30052.
5. Please include your name, e-mail address, and date of birth on each
entry submitted.
Awards:
Primarily, the main award to each entry chosen as winner or runner-up will be the fact that your works will be published along side donated art by professional artists in the industry today. That in itself is a great honor and an excellent portfolio builder when persuing a career in art. Secondly, though, our judges will choose 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. They will also choose 5 runner-ups. The awards are thus designated as the following:

1st prize - $300 US and
a copy of the release, an interview with GIRAFNetwork's Department of Publications,
and your piece being featured in the digital catalogue, "Next...".
2nd prize - $150 US and a copy of the release, an interview with GIRAFNetwork's Department of Publications, and your piece being featured in the digital catalogue, "Next...".
3rd prize - $75 US and a copy of the release, an interview with GIRAFNetwork's Department of Publications, and your piece being featured in the digital catalogue, "Next...".
Runners-up receive honorable mention, a copy of the release,
and mentions in the "Next..." catalog.
