Based on the characters of C.S. Lewis and the world of Narnia, artists/writers complete the story based on the premise provided by GIRAF staff writers which is turned over to be completed in the same vein. The story is called Queen Susan and the Golden Warrior. Design of characters are generally left up to the individuals submitting the story but everyone may refer back to sneak peeks on the www.girafnetwork.org main site in the news sections where we it is noting the contest.

Premise:

In response to Lord Umbraeus's eclipsing the sun in Narnia, Queen Susan volunteers to quest with her party to the Outer Mountains to find the Golden Warrior of whom it is prophesied can defeat the shadows and return the sun to the lands of Aslan.

Requirements:
1. The story must continue in the vein set forth by the contest hosts ( size, dimension, purpose, story.)
2. This story must remain " family" acceptable in nature like the original books.
3. Using the provided cast members, complete the story and draw the rest of the mini-comic. It is a comic designed in page multiples of fours. ( Ie. take a regular 8.5x11 piece of paper folding it in half and then half again. Each quarter page is the actual size of each page in the fan fiction comic to be printed.)
4. The interior art must be black & white and/or with grey tones. No colors will be used in this project aside from web promotion and posters in its advertisements of the contest.
5. Submit your story and art by January 31st. The Contest starts December 9th at the opening of the new movie being released at Carmike Cinema on Dogwood Drive in Conyers, Ga that night. The deadline to submit is January 31st , 2006. The winning story will be printed and be available via the internet and local bookselling retailers at their requests. A panel of judges inclduing our Board of Directors and Retail Advisors who will review the submissions thus choosing our winner to go onto the production stage. The winner of the contest will receive multiple copies of the free release and a $25 gift card to thank them for entering our contest.
